Transfer Credit

Evaluation Process

Once the Transfer Credit Office has received all official transcripts*, application and major declaration, you will receive an official evaluation of credit within two to three weeks. This official evaluation will let you know exactly how many courses you have left to complete at your community college and online with Franklin University based on your selected major.

Franklin's transfer credit acceptance policy is exceptionally student-friendly, allowing you to transfer the maximum credits possible. More than 90 percent of our students have transferred credits from other colleges and universities - Franklin is the place to help you make the most of your education!

* An official transcript is one that has been received directly from each college or university listed on your application. It must bear the college seal, date, and an appropriate signature. Transcripts received that do not meet these requirements should not be considered official and are routinely rejected for any permanent use.

Contact the Transfer Credit Office at transfercredit@franklin.edu concerning any questions on the evaluation process.

Academic Evaluation Instructions

The following instructions are designed to help you understand your official Academic Evaluation, which shows each course requirement toward the completion of your degree and tracks your progress toward graduation.

Each time you complete a course or transfer credit from your CCA school or another institution, your Academic Evaluation will be automatically updated.

  • You must be a registered student with a declared major in order to receive an Academic Evaluation.
  • You must complete the PF 321 Learning Strategies course in order to declare your major.
  • Your evaluation will be completed once the Office of Transfer and Articulation has received all official transcripts from your previous institutions, including your CCA school.
  • All transfer credit evaluations are completed on a first-come, first-served basis and there may be a waiting period of up to four weeks for an official review of your previous academic credit.
  • If you meet the criteria above but have not received an Academic Evaluation, please contact your Student Services Associate (SSA) for assistance.
